Site Council

A School Site Council is a collective of parents, teachers, principals, staff and community representatives that supports and enhances student learning.

It is a legally required decision-making body for any school receiving federal funds.

School councils provide a way for members of the school community to provide input to and consult with the principal. They help to advise the administration on education matters.

The Site Council is a state-mandated group of elected parents, teachers, and staff who help create, approve and oversee the school's improvement plan and budget. It also serves as an advisory council to the principal on key issues.
